We were out placing a geocache in Feltzen South, directly across the harbour from Lunenburg, when we came upon this little lady, enjoying the warm October sunshine. She had a large fawn nearby, but he (or she) was a little more camera shy.

September has a way of touching me deeply, in a place where no words can reach, or escape.
Such blessed days, filled with a soft, sweet light that is somehow gentler on the eyes, even as green miraculously dissolves to display the oranges, reds, and yellows it’s been hiding.
