Hi Richard:
I’ve been trying to find a place on Kristina’s blog to register, but have been unsuccessful. Is there something I’m overlooking or is it a site error?
Hi Richard,
I would just like to say that I’ve “bumped” into your site here a couple of times when I’ve googled both “Fleur de Sel” and more recently “Salt Shaker Deli”… You seem like a very interesting person and I like your site very much, reading your blogs, and viewing your photos, as they fill me with nostalgia for Nova Scotia. I just wanted to thank you for your commentary on both Lunenburg restaurants – it is exciting for me to read such positive feedback, as I am the very proud big sister/sister-in-law to Martin and Sylvie. We grew up in nearby Blandford, and I now live in upstate NY and don’t back to NS very often, but I am very proud of the person my brother has grown up to be. Again, thank you so much for your commentary – you have ‘made my day’ more than once, without ever have knowing!
Thanks so much for the comments, Mia. Your note is so sweet, and just what I needed in the midst of a trying week.
I’m glad that you enjoy reading about our lives in Nova Scotia, and I think you have a great reason to be proud. Martin and Sylvie are the bright new face of the hospitality industry in Atlantic Canada, and that is very good news for the travelers to Nova Scotia, and for the old salts who still live here.
And proving once again that it is a very, very small world after all, my brother and his wife are fixing up an old house in Blandford… and apparently, your father is their nearest neighbor. I just hope that my brother is sharing a few — of an abundant supply — English ales with him during these early warm summer nights.
On reading your blog I know our views are similar. Ruth has had reasons to be vegetarian and my collisions with conservative thinking have not been happy! We are always in need of friends!
BONUS: If you sign up for this challenge by January 14, your entry to the Ascension Clarity of Night contest counts as all 1000 of your words for January!
